Basic Care Routines That Damage Your Hair

Eight Basic Essentials For Natural Hair

As a lady, taking care of your hair by observing hair care routines is very important, but did you know that there are some really basic stuffs you do to your hair that actually cause damages.
Here are some of them:

Handling Wet Hair
Your hair is at its weakest point when it’s wet; hence, it is important to treat it delicately when wet. Try not to sleep with your hair wet as it can easily snap and pull while you turn. Also, be sure to use a wide-tooth comb when combing out wet hair, and always start from ends to scalp to avoid any breakage.

Your Towel
You just washed your hair and then you grab the towel rubbing it vigorously on your scalp to dry out excess water. Guess what girl? You are damaging your hair. Rubbing your hair with a towel or wrapping your hair in a towel can cause breakage and frizz. Like we said earlier, your hair is at its weakest point when it is wet. So rather than a towel, use an old cotton T-shirt to wrap your head or simply use a soft towel to blot your hair instead of rubbing.

Hot Iron And Blow Dryers
Hot irons such as curling iron, flat iron, and crimping iron produce extreme heat that helps you to create some lovely hair dos, but the intensity of the heat will strip your hair off its natural moisture and really do a huge damage on your hair. If you are going to use them, then try to limit the usage. A Korean study found that blow-drying damages the surface of your strands and even the interior of your strands.

Elastic Ponytail Holders
A thin elastic hair holder especially the ones with the little metal clasps on them can actually damage your hair almost as much as a rubber band can irritate your strands causing breakage if pulled too tightly. The best type of elastic to use in your hair is something covered in soft fabric. If you just want to get your hair out of your face, try gently pulling it back using bobby pins or claws. Anything too tight is damaging.

Chemicals
Too much relaxers, colouring and keratin usage can cause damage to your hair. Over time, you will notice hair breakage and thinning. If you really need to use them, ensure that you keep the number of chemical processes to a minimum and cut down your frequency in application.

Brushing Or Combing Wrongly
Combing or brushing your hair from top to bottom is wrong and can cause snags and breakage. To detangle or comb, divide your hair into four sections, take one section at a time and gently comb from the bottom taking a few inches up at a time until you get to the roots. This way, there’s not one long stroke from the top to the bottom, but little baby strokes that are way gentler.

Using Too Many products
Many products at a time rid your hair off its natural glory, and cause build-ups on your hair. On natural hair, too many products can create dry stands. Pick the product that works best for you and avoid slathering varieties on your hair.

Why Is Kanye Denying The Fact That He Dissed LeBron James On Facts?

Yeezy

We thought to share the Kanye West’s new song, Facts, but that’s besides the subject right now.
Rapper Kanye West released a new song some hours into the new year titled, “Facts” and in the song, he took time to speak to his former multinational affiliate – Nike. The rapper also left a line for his his friend, Lebron James, who he used to be on the payroll with (at Nike). As controversial as the information in the song, “Facts” may sound, music fans and pundits are curious about why the rapper had to bring back the issue at this point in time.
It is funny that Kanye has denied his intent on a song that is clearly a diss record that also took shots at Lebron James.

‘Heavy schedule helps Arsenal rhythm

Manager Arsene Wenger believes Arsenal's heavy schedule has helped the side maintain a rich vein of form that continued with a 3-1 victory over Sunderland in an FA Cup third round tie on Saturday.
The packed fixture list in England over the Christmas and New Year period has come under fire from several Premier League managers, including Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp and Sunderland's Sam Allardyce, but Wenger holds a different view.
After winning seven of their last eight games in all competitions, the Frenchman said the hectic schedule had given the league leaders a perfect platform to build on in the second half of the campaign.
"You have a rhythm (when you have a lot of games). You try to check who needs a breather and who needs a rest and you do it," Wenger told the club's website (www.arsenal.com).

All you need to know about Ballon d’Or

As the clock ticks down, the excitement is mounting. The world’s best football players and coaches will be recognised on 11 January at the annual Fifa Ballon d’Or Gala.
While Zurich’s sparkling Kongresshaus can entertain only a limited number of attendees, the awards themselves reflect the voice of the football family.
The three nominees for the Fifa Ballon d’Or were determined after a voting process open to the captains and head coaches from the men’s national teams of 207 Fifa member associations* as well as international media representatives.
This process was replicated to select the three final Fifa Women’s World Player of the Year contenders with the help of the women’s national team captains and coaches and representatives from the media, as well as for the Fifa World Coach of Year for men’s football and women’s football.
Meanwhile, the prestigious Fifa Puskás Award, which determines the best goal scored between 27 September 2014 and 23 September 2015, is exclusively based on votes by the public.
The three final nominees were chosen by users of Fifa.com and francefootball.fr from an initial list of 10 candidates. Football fans around the world can now select their favourite from the top three on Fifa.com or francefootball.fr.
Who will follow in the footsteps of James Rodriguez whose stunning volley for Colombia earned him the crown last time around?
Who gets to vote for all these awards?
Voting for the four players’ and coaches’ awards is open to national team coaches and captains together with journalists around the world named on a list compiled by France Football and Fifa, whose votes are then counted by an electronic system monitored by a notary public.
The coaches, captains and media that vote for the award select their first, second and third choice for each particular accolade with five, three and one points assigned respectively. Each award is given to the person who receives the highest weighted percentage of votes in relation to the other nominees.
In the event of a tie, the player or coach with the greatest number of first-choice votes receives the prize. The deadline for voting was 20 November 2015.
The percentages of the collected votes are as follows (number of votes/number of associations):
Voting for men’s awards: 165
Member associations (captains & coaches): 79.71 per cent
Media representatives: 88.60 per cent
Voting for women’s awards: 136
Member associations (captains & coaches): 76.83 per cent
Media representatives: 80.92 per cent
What steps are taken to protect the integrity of the voting results and ensure compliance with the allocation rules?
Fifa and France Football have appointed PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC Switzerland) as independent observers to supervise and monitor the voting process. PwC records the results and keeps them under lock and key until the evening of the Fifa Ballon d’Or Gala.
How does voting for the Fifa Puskás Award work?
The winner of the Fifa Puskás Award is selected by the users of Fifa.com and Francefootball.fr, who choose their favourite goal from an initial shortlist of 10 contenders. The three goals receiving the most votes then go forward to the final round, when the votes of the users of both sites are added to those obtained by each goal in the first round to decide the overall winner.
And how is the Fifa FifPro World XI selected?
Every FIFPro-affiliated player is free to vote for any active professional player in the world to make up their ideal XI in a 4-3-3 formation. FifPro then counts the votes, with the Fifa FifPro World XI finally being revealed on the evening of the Fifa Ballon d’Or Gala. Almost 25,000 votes from 70 different countries have been received.
