5 Things To Expect From Falz’s Stories That Touch Album

falz stories that touch

Falz aka Falz The Badt Guy is set to drop his second album, Stories That Touch, in less than a week. We caught up with him recently and extracted out a few things we can expect from the album. Strong Lyrical Content Falz is witty rapper. Always dropping clever and funny punchlines in his music. But sometimes lost in all his funny bars, is the fact that he’s actually a pretty good lyricist. You rarely hear him ‘yarn dust” so to speak, and from out conversation with him, he’s said that we should expect a lot of strong lyrical content in his album. Deep Story Telling How many times have we gotten lost in the art of dropping bars upon bars that we forget one of the best things about hip-hop is the story telling. Story telling is an art form we should expect to see in some songs on the album. Socially Conscious Music Falz has promised us that there’ll be some socially conscious music on his album, and if we know Falz well, you can expect that to be blended in with some comedy to lighten the mood a bit. In the midst of every rapper bragging about what they have and you don’t have, taking a step back and addressing things that are serious is always a good look. READ  VIDEO: Tunde Ednut - Jingle Bell Bell Ft. M.I, Orezi & Falz - Jingle Bell Bell Great Blend of Genres Of everything Falz mentioned to us to expect from the album, this is probably most interesting. How this will sound, and what genres will be blended will be very interesting to see and listen. I know we’ll make a note to listen for this once the album drops. Interesting Collaborations From the tracklist the collaborations on the album go from soulful RnB – Oyinkansola, Bez, Simi  – to the heavy hitting Hip-Hop stars in MI, SDC, and Phyno, to the more Afro Pop peeps in Reekado Banks, and Yemi Alade. Now if that doesn’t sound like an interesting line up, I don’t know what does. That’s it from me. Be sure to look out for the album when it drops, and of course we’ll be giving you a review shortly after.

University student commits suicide after finding out she had bad exam results

20 year old a Samantha Macdonald, a student of the University of Salford jumped to her death from her hall of residence (pictured above) after finding out her exam results weren't good enough to follow her dream of becoming a research scientist. She told friends she wanted to get a first-class degree as part of her life's ambition to make a difference as a top scientist, but the human biology undergraduate was left devastated after receiving a 2:2 in her second-year exams which she feared were not good enough.

Ms McDonald after a night out clubbing with friends jumped from her student apartment at the University, a security guard tried to revive her but she died from multiple injuries. After her death, police found a diary which contained a list of Ms MacDonald's likes, dislikes and ambitions. It included the intention to complete a PhD, to find a cure for diabetes and to 'make a difference' in the world.

Her housemate and coursemate Emma Reid, who went out with Ms MacDonald on the night she died, said that she rarely noticed anything troubling her friend.  Her father also said that she had never spoke of feeling depressed and that her family tried to encourage her as much as possible:
''She was always a very hard-working girl but she never really got the grades that reflected her studies,' he said. 'She had a very strong interest in science and wanted to make a change in the world. She could not wait to get back to university as she had a good social life and enjoyed seeing her friends. 'As far as we were aware she was very focused on completing her degree and working in science afterwards. We were so proud that she was making new friends and a life and a future for herself at university", he said.
"She has never mentioned to us that she was feeling low or depressed and she has not given any indication to any of her family that she was feeling low or that she wanted to harm herself in any way.' He added that the letters written to the family suggested she had intended to commit suicide. 'In one letter she says she had written the letter 100 times. I don't know if she intended doing this at the start of the night but maybe the reason she got drunk is maybe to go through with it. 'One of the letters said she had been hiding her depression from us", he said.
Her house mate revealed that after they partied, they got a taxi back to their block of flats and were laughing and joking until Miss Reid went to bed at 4am. But, shortly afterwards, another flatmate Jasmin Lodge, who was up early to attend a nursing placement, heard movement from Ms MacDonald's room followed by commotion outside the flats. She arrived downstairs at 5.40am to find a security guard giving Ms MacDonald chest compressions while awaiting paramedics.

Drake and Craig David Might Be Dropping A Project Together Soon

Yes. Craig David. The actual 7 days Craig David, and Drake could very well be dropping a mixtape together pretty soon. That’ll make for an epic comeback for the UK RnB crooner.  David was on BBC1 Extra radio and told the hosts that there is a mixtape in the works.  “When the time is right, when it’s really right, and there’s the Craig David/Drake mixtape, I promise you, not on a ‘get gas, beg a man to be on his record’ kind of thing, because he’s the hottest thing right now.” He did stress that nothing is set in stone, but hey… The possibility is enough to make fans super excited. But be prepared for a lot of emotional music.

The Game is worth over $13m and 50cent is worth $16million?

Rapper The Game yesterday showed us his account balance...$13million - and now according to TMZ, 50cent who once made $100m in one year, is now worth about $16million. Their report below
The is a financial shadow of his former self ... this according to new bankruptcy docs obtained by TMZ. The mogul claims in the legal docs his bank booty totals $7.4 million. Add to that his real property holdings of around $8.8 million and his total assets are just north of $16 million.
It's a breathtaking number, but not in a good way. 50 sold his interest in Vitaminwater for somewhere between $60 million and $100 million. Mind you ... that's just the water. At his peak, 50 was reportedly worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
50 has put it out there that he has declared "rich man's" bankruptcy ... and that he's still rolling in the dough. He's got more money than most, but compare him to The Game, who deposited more than $13 million in his charity account alone.

ISIS is now in the business of creating fake passports, according to a new warning from the French interior minister.
French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said the Islamic State has seized so many passports in Iraq, Syria and Libya that they have been able to develop "a true industry of fake passports," the Wall Street Journal reports.

He wants to set up a special task force in Greece to pinpoint fake or stolen passports as migrants arrive from the Middle East.
Meanwhile, ABC News reports U.S. Homeland Security is warning that Islamic State terrorists may have already used fake passports to enter the United States.

Officials believe ISIS can produce the phony passports using blank passports and a passport machine captured from the government of Syria.
At least two of the ISIS terrorists who attacked Paris last year used Syrian passports to enter Europe through Greece, pretending to be refugees.

'Worrying picture' of corruption in Africa

Corruption is a "serious problem" in 40 of the 46 states in sub-Saharan Africa, according to a new report by anti-corruption watchdog Transparency International (TI).

It ranked Somalia - which has not had an effective central government since the overthrow of long-serving ruler Siad Barre in 1991 - as the most corrupt in the world, along with highly repressive North Korea.

"This year's index presents a worrying picture, with 40 of 46 countries [in sub-Saharan Africa] showing a serious corruption problem and no improvement for continent powerhouses Nigeria and South Africa," TI said.

"Indicators for rule of law and justice score particularly badly.
While some governments are reducing risks for business, there's little change for citizens - as systemic corruption leaves many countries struggling to uphold basic rule of law," it added.

A man counting dollar notes
Experts say corruption level is high in most African countries

However, there had been an improvement in several countries, notably Senegal where the government had introduced a series of anti-corruptions laws, TI said.

Its anti-corruption index is based on expert opinions of public sector corruption, looking at a range of factors like whether government officials are held to account or go unpunished for corruption, the perceived prevalence of bribery, and whether public institutions respond to citizens' needs.

The bizarre law quickly went viral with Nigerians on social media reacting to it. There were funny memes and tweets about the polygamy law.
Even Mavin boss Don Jazzy got in on the action.

Vice President urges Christians to pray for Nigeria’s progress

The programme was designed to bring Christians within Abuja and its environs together, to have a divine encounter under the ministration of Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

Yemi Osinbajo

The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday in Abuja, called on Christians to pray to God to `remove all captivity surrounding the country.’’
Osinbajo spoke at an inter denominational programme, organised by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). The theme of the programme is: Divine Encounter.
The programme was designed to bring Christians within Abuja and its environs together, to have a divine encounter under the ministration of Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
The vice president also prayed that God should let the nations of the world know that God has done great things for Nigeria. In his preaching, the General Overseer, Pastor Adeboye, said when God visits you, and when you visit God, there are two types of divine encounters.
According to Adeboye, for God to visit a Christian, He must have located the person that is why He visited him.
"The Lord God Almighty can see at all times, looking for someone to locate; call on Him while He may be near.’’
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the programme will hold in Abuja every month throughout 2016.

Scientists say Zika can be spread through sex

As the devastating Zika virus rampages through the Caribbean and Latin America - and threatens to hit parts of the US such as Florida - more and more questions are being asked about how it can be transmitted.
The virus has been linked to birth defects in thousands of Brazilian babies, born with heads smaller than normal and undeveloped brains.

Symptoms include a rash, fever, conjunctivitis and headache and to date, 21 countries have been affected.
At the moment, there is clear scientific evidence the virus is transmitted by the same type of mosquito that spreads other tropical diseases, such as dengue fever, chikungunya and yellow fever.
But there are also fears the virus may be passed on through sex, following two reports in medical literature.

One states that Zika was found in the semen of a man from Tahiti, the other that the virus was passed from a husband to his wife after intercourse.
But is there really a risk?
In a statement issued this week, the World Health Organisation said there was still insufficient evidence to make the link.
But these research papers argue otherwise.

Photos: Gov. El-Rufai visits the scene of Kaduna market outbreak

Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai earlier yesterday visited the scene of the inferno at the Station Market in Kaduna local government area of the state. The market was gutted by fire last night and three almajiris who sleep in the shops reportedly burnt beyond recognition.

The governor expressed his sympathy and affirms government's commitment towards rebuilding the razed market.
"It is most unfortunate that we continue to have this incident. What is sad for me, is not just the loss of property in this case, but the fact that the fire fighting equipment could not get in and reduce the losses because of the way and manner the market itself was designed. We already have plans for this market; we have plans to build a modern neighborhood centre across the railway line and relocate them"
Malam further assured that the leadership of the market and state officials will sit to assess the situation and bring a report to the government for further actions.

Oprah Winfrey made $12 million from one tweet about bread

Oprah Winfrey just made more news, saying she lost 26 pounds on her Weight Watchers diet. Even better, her wallet got a lot fatter. According to Market Watch, Winfrey racked in a whopping $12 million for merely writing about how she was able to lose weight and still eat bread.

"I lost 26 pounds, and I have eaten bread every single day," she said in her testimonial clip.
An hour after O sent her story into the Twitterverse, Weight Watchers shares climbed slightly over $2 a share, and since Winfrey owns roughly 6 million shares, the surge in share prices made the celeb $12 million just like that.
Oprah as a board member and large share owner of the company. She's made a fortune since her October investment. Using a price of $13 a share from Tuesday afternoon, that means she's made $61 million on her total investment.

On a per-pound basis, that's $2.36 million of profits gained for each pound lost.
She has the best of both worlds: getting richer while getting slimmer.
Oprah's October investment came at a price of $6.79 per share. She bought about 6.36 million shares, which cost her $43.2 million.
She was also granted 3.51 million options to buy shares at that same $6.79 price. Combining shares and options, her total stake is worth almost 10 million shares — 9.88 million shares to be more specific. The stock has practically doubled in that time, even including the rapid decline in the past several weeks
