We don't need 36 state governors and their deputy- Sanusi calls for natioanal restructuring

Emir of Kano, Sanusi Muhammad II, has called for the restructuring of Nigerians system of governance, arguing that Nigeria cannot afford 36 state governors and deputy governors in the face of this economic hardship.

Sanusi said this while speaking at the inaugural lecture and launching of a N250 million endowment fund for the Oba Sikiru Adetona Professorial Chair in Governance, Department of Political Science, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, yesterday March 10th.

"If you really reflect on the problems of this country, it seems to turn common sense on its head. You sometimes wonder if anyone needs to tell any group of people that if you are a poor country, you do not need 36 governors, 36 deputy governors, with members of house of assembly, commissioners and advisers, Special assistants, a president, a vice president, 36 ministers, special advisers, federal legislature and so on. Simple arithmetic will tell you that if you have that structure, you are first of all doomed to spending 80 or 90 per cent of everything you earn maintaining public officers.
It is really common sense but it seems to be a problem for us to understand it,” he added

Upcoming singer, Korra Obidi, replies trolls who attacked her for having dark knees in her swimwear photos

Yesterday, banker tuned singer and model, Korra Obidi, shared swimwear photos on her Instagram page and some trolls attacked her for having dark knees. Read her reply to them below ...
So I posted this picture on my fan page on all social media platforms and Linda carried it. I have been getting different insults and all soughts about my knees. Honey, these pictures were taken with my phone, no edits, no brushing, no photoshop, attempt that and let us see you.
I am a human being, my entire life as early as 5am, my home chore was dusting the living room's rug. I would do this on my knees because it would take hours, and could break my back if I didn't kneel. For 4 years I trained Bellydance floor work and this required a lot of knee/ floor contact. You don't like my battle scars? Well maybe you shouldn't be here then. True fans don't expect perfection. And no! I would not tone or bleach them because I am against any form of skin alterations using bleaching agents. I am very Pro-natural and that's that. Gracias

Two weeks old baby dies falling off mum's lap as she is gang raped on a bus by conductor and his friend

A two-week old baby reportedly died after being thrown from his mother’s lap while she was being raped on a bus. The 28 year old woman, was on her way to visit her sister with her 2 weeks old son and her three year old daughter, when the bus pulled into a station in the town of Shishgarh in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh State.

According to Times of India
The 28-year-old woman, who has not been named, had been visiting her sister with her 15-day-old son .The conductor, Ishwari Prasad, and his friend Shiv Kumar are accused of setting upon the woman on the bus.

The duo forced alcohol down the 28-year-old woman's throat before the gangrape, pushing her into an inebriated condition for over 3 hours after the attack in Sheeshgarh village on Monday night. With the woman unable to recount the incident to policemen when they first approached her for a statement, the 3-year-old, who had hid herself in a corner of the bus, narrated the entire episode first to the cops and then to her father.

The woman, a resident of Rampur, was returning home on Monday night after attending a family function at Khapuriya, a nearby village. As she alighted at her destination, the conductor, who belongs to a neighbouring village, promised to drop her at her place. However, as soon as the last passenger got down, they started assaulting her. When she resisted, the duo forced liquor into her mouth. In the melee, they also flung her 14-day-old boy. The infant died on the spot.
According to cops, the woman's 3-year-old daughter hid herself behind a seat and watched the gory crime. As the duo carried her unconscious mother outside the vehicle and put her on the road next to the bus stand, the girl quietly slipped out of the bus and ran to a place where the accused couldn't see her. It was only in the early hours of Tuesday when the woman's husband accompanied by locals came looking for her that they found the girl by the side of her unconscious mother and dead infant.

Madhu Garg, state head of All India Democratic Women's Association, said,
"The incident is ghastlier than Delhi's Nirbhaya case, given the fact that the accused killed the victim's 14-day-old infant. Even then, murder charges have not been pressed against the two. We will hold protests if the two are not booked for the murder of the
